The inaugural La Rosa hill challenge took place on July 12th - this challenge involves swimming the river and running up the oppisite hill. The original challenge took place in the 1920s and just involved climbing the oppisite hill with no swimming of the river. However, in the 1980s to make the challenge more "interesting" a swim across the river was included. This year we decided to make it official and invited a number of friends to take part in the first official event.
35 participants took part in the whole challenge with another 20 just undertaking the climb and more than 60 just coming to watch. We will post pictures on Facebook and here shortly. We are hoping to make this an annual event and will keep you posted.
