Quinta de la Rosa is run by Sophia Bergqvist with invaluable help from her family. Jorge Moreira is La Rosa's wine maker and is ably assisted by viticulturalist, Nuno Barros. As Sophia is often on the road selling La Rosa's products, team work and loyalty is vital. Many have worked at La Rosa for more than 10 years and Nelson Gonçalves (bottling line) is fourth generation to work at La Rosa. His father, Salvador, is in charge of making the blends. Manuela Lima is in charge of invoicing and all paperwork and Liliana Miguel is our lab technician.
Tourism is becoming an important part of our business and way of life. Hospitality has always been core to the spirit of La Rosa with Sophia's grandmother, Claire and more recently her father, Tim, always welcoming visitors. Now a little more commercial, we offer accommodation, guided visits and meals. Alina Pereira runs the tourism, Cristina (cooking) and Felicia (cleaning).
