Dona Clara room is named after Claire (Clara) who was given Quinta de la Rosa as a Christening present in 1906. It is a rather original suite situated at the end of the original house furnished with Portuguese and English antiques and painted corner cupboards. It has views over the river Douro and the village of Pinhão from its own private cork balcony. It features a double bed and an additional single bed ('Melbourne's bed") in an adjoining room making it perfect for families. The bathroom with shower is situated down a short, but very steep staircase on the floor below. The room is located just above Dona Sophia and Juliet bedrooms. There are 32 steps between Dona Clara and the reception/parking area and another further 28 steps up to the breakfast/dining area.
