La Rosa's wine visit
La Rosa is unusual as we are able to show the whole port and wine making process from the vineyard to the final bottle. Most port houses make their port in the Douro but store and bottle it in Vila Nova da Gaia, in Porto. We do everything in the Douro. Not only that, but we are able to show both wine and port making processes side by side.
Tours of the facilities, between April and October, start every day at 11:30, 14:30 and 17:00 finishing with a tasting (during the rest of the year the only take place at 11:30am and 2:30pm). They last for an hour or so and cost €16 per person for both tour and tasting.
Due to a high demand and to avoid over crowding we are limiting the size of the tour to 18 people. If you wish to make a reservation for a certain day, please send us an email to email@example.com or call the +351 254 732 254, we will take a credit card number and will have the right to charge €16 per person if there is a no show.
Each tour/tasting will have the following choice of wines and ports to sample:
La Rosa Rosé, Quinta de la Rosa Estate Red wine, Quinta de la Rosa Fine Tawny port, Quinta de la Rosa Finest Reserve port
For other private tours and tastings please contact us in advance, in here it will be possible to show you a different tasting as you can see below. Some of these tastings can be arranged to include a selection of local cold meats, cheeses, almonds and chocolate. We also can arrange guided tours of the vineyards or you can take yourself on a self guided one with a map!

We have a shop where people can drop in, taste and buy during opening hours, always subject to availability. This way, is always better to call beforehand to avoid disappointment.
You can finish your visit with a lunch or dinner at our restaurant, Cozinha da Clara, and during the harvest (September/October) we invite you to make your reservations to tread your own vintage.
